HB 128 Bar Cart - black - by Horst Brüning
In 1963, Horst Brüning established his architecture and design studio in Stuttgart. During this time, he formed a creative partnership with the German manufacturer Kill International and the Danish design duo Fabricius & Kastholm. This fruitful exchange of ideas led to great international success across the late 1960s. It was during this period that Brüning designed the HB 128 Bar Cart.
Brüning’s pieces and those by Fabricius & Kastholm were originally produced by the same company — a legacy that has been revived by Lange Production, continuing the original intention and quality of these iconic designs.

Horst Brüning
Horst Brüning is a German designer whose work embodies the essential principles of minimalism: functionality, durability, timelessness — all while capturing the spirit of its era.
Born in 1934, Brüning studied Architecture and Interior Design at the College of Graphic Arts in Hamburg until 1956. He later lived in Copenhagen and Stockholm, where he continued his studies in industrial design.
In 1963, he established his own architecture and design studio in Stuttgart. During this period, Brüning developed a close collaboration with the German manufacturer Kill International and the Danish design duo Fabricius & Kastholm. Their creative exchange led to international success and recognition throughout the late 1960s.
Brüning’s designs, along with those by Fabricius & Kastholm, were originally produced by the same company. This legacy is now being carried forward by Lange Production, ensuring continuity and respect for the original design vision.
