Jonas Lindvall

Jonas Lindvall studied design in London and architecture in Copenhagen. He has now returned to his hometown of Malmö, Sweden, where he opened his own design and interior architecture office.

Today we are interested in his work as an architect through his project called Villa N1. This summer house, located on the west coast of Sweden, is inspired by the architecture of the region, known for its wooden barns. It includes five interconnected volumes. The children's bedrooms and the master bedroom sit at each end of the main common areas. Inspired by the typology of the traditional barn, this design is a modern version. The goal was to create a building that is rooted in history, while being more contemporary.
