Camira

British textile producer.
Camira began in 1974 as Camborne Fabrics, and revolutionised the world of office interiors by supplying fabrics rapidly, directly from stock, and with no minimum order requirements.
Camborne was purchased in the 1990s by  Interface, Inc, the American modular flooring specialists and environmental  pionneers.  A subsidiary of Interface, Camira became Interface Fabrics and, with the benefit of Interface's reputation as a global environmental leader, enjoyed a profitable period in the years that followed until a management buy-out in 2006 and a change of name to Camira. Along the way Camira has expanded its know-how and has entered new markets, including 3D weaving and public transport with the brands Teknit and Holdsworth. Camira is a young company with a rich heritage.
