Bambi 57 Scandinavian armchair. New edition. Designed in 1955 by Rolf Rastad and Adolf Relling and originally produced by the Norwegian manufacturer Gustav Bahus, the Bambi 57 armchair is today returned to identical production by Fjordfiesta. Iconic armchair in the Nordic design, the Bambi Chair embodies Norwegian know-how from the 1950s. Its solid wood structure with organic curves, both sculptural and ergonomic, is an aesthetic and technical feat.
This reissue, still made in Norway, is offered today in 2 solid woods with a foam seat covered with smooth leather, or a stitched stretched leather.

Rastad & Relling Studio

Rastad & Relling Tegnekontor was one of the main representatives of the development of furniture design for decades. With furniture Bambi, Futurum, Crossed and Cycle sets the Norwegian design on the world map. Interior architects Rolf Rastad (1916-1995) and Adolf Relling (1913-2006) established the furniture and interior architectural firm Rastad & Relling (R & R) in Oslo in 1943. They Employed graduates interior designers from Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry, and therefore functioned as an important incubator for post-war premier furniture designers.
