Hjördis Oldfors

Swedish ceramist.
Hjördis Oldfors was born in Gothenburg in 1920, she began her professional career in banking before joining the School of Crafts in Gothenburg.
In 1950, she made an internship at Upsala-Ekeby then opened his own studio in Gothenburg under the name "brand form." Shortly after, she was hired at Upsala-Ekeby and works de1952 1959.

During this period, she worked many new shapes and decorative techniques. She was the best-selling artist in the 1950s Among the most popular series on Count: Poäng, Keeling, Threesome, Palma and Granite.
Like other artists of that time, she created a series order for Ahlen & Holm and Turitz & Co.

After his stay in Ekeby she returned to Gothenburg for work but also the ceramic fiber arts painting. She also taught in Sweden and abroad, painting and ceramics.
The works of Hjørdis Oldfors have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions and are exhibited in museums and Röhss Trondheim.
