Mid-Century Modern CH 24 Wishbone chair by Hans Wegner. Birthday limited Edition 2023

Carl Hansen & Søn celebrates Hans J. Wegner's birthday each year on April 2nd with a special edition of the iconic CH24 Wishbone chair.

The inspiration for this 2023 edition comes directly from Carl Hansen & Søn's apprentice workshop: "THE LAB". It is here in this workshop that 20 young cabinetmakers are trained each year to keep the art of craftsmanship alive and to continue the search for excellence.

For this edition, young cabinetmakers were asked to design a new seat. The best proposal was tested and developed by the master weavers at Carl Hansen & Søn. This is how the 2023 special edition was designed! It features a double woven paper rope that gives the seat a light, transparent feel and blends beautifully with the light colour of the natural oak.

The CH24 Birthday Edition 2023 features an exclusive small brass plate engraved with Hans J. Wegner's signature and date of birth engraved, discreetly placed inside the frame of the chair. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity.

It is widely known that these editions are rare and the offer is extremely limited. The CH24 Birthday Edition can only be ordered until March 30th 2023.
